Fork trip

Hey every one. Once again, lake Fork paid off for me. We went down and stuck some really nice bass in Johnson creek, and to my surprise, the fish were in shallow water, and they were nailing spinner baits.
we caught a few fishing the pad on frogs, and then a few on the whackey worm, and then around 9:30 AM, they just shut down. The grass in Birch just looked dead. The hydrilla was all brown, and we did not catch anything outta there.

Good fishing.. next trip is back up to Texoma..

Well, I went and measured everything like Steve at Steve's Custom Props told me too, and I was 1 inch high. I was sitting at 1 1/2 below pad, which is not low enough. I dropped her an inch and 1/4, and took her back to the lake.. WOW>.. what a difference that little bit can make. I got out of the hole a lot better, and was getting faster top end speeds... I gps'ed 72mph...I was no where near that before, and let off of her at 5400 rpm.. I ran out of lake...lol.. I bet I can get 75 or so with less fuel and if I took some of my gear out..

Hey everyone,

well, I must say fishing with Mikala is a blessing every time we get the chance to go.

lake Arlington is where we were at. We caught a lot of short fish, and then I stuck this nice bass on the last cast of the day. we ended up winning her division and she got a kewl little trophy out of the deal.

Thanks to Tarrant Christian bass club to putting this together again, and to all of the sponsors who helped make it happen.

howdy ya'll. sorry for the down time, but my ISP ha been giving me some fits, and then I lost one of my firewalls.

lake hawkins trip

lake hawkins trip

Went down to Lake Hawkins, which is just north of Tyler Texas. I must say, this little lake has a lot to be desired. This lake is very clear, has has plenty of grass, and lily pads, stumps, boat docks, cat tails, even a small bridge where I talked to some folks that were tied up catching crappie.
